No matter what age you are, Nike's are cool

I finally got the photos from when my family was here from New Zealand for christmas. I have to share just one photo for now. My favorite one... Me and my cousin Jade posing in our Nike's.

Isagenix Week #2

Week #2 on Isagenix went a little something like this:

The days and weeks are getting easier and the cravings for coffee, soda and such have pretty much subsided. Yesterday as we all know was super bowl. I did indulge in two beers and the were delish. I think from cleansing I had a buzz on after two. I also, had a glass of red wine, tri tip, few scoops of dip and that's about it for my cheat day. Pretty happy about yesterday considering all of the temptations.

So, this week, valentine's day. Since I cheated on Super Bowl, there will be no cheating on Valentine's day. This week I'm going to focus on my lean and green meals for the week and no condiments adding to my dinner's. Also, I'm feeling more energetic and needing less and less sleep at night.

For Example: I pushed my alarm out to 7:00am instead of 6:00am. I wanted to lay in bed with Mackenna longer, so I just layed and relaxed rather than jumping up, but I could have just jumped out at 6:00am.

So drum roll please....

Why can't men just look themselves

I just walk in the door and I'm going through mail, looking at the disaster of a mess Ian and Mackenna have mustered themselves to create in the the hour they have been together before I get home and questions start flying...

Ian: "Have you seen the T.V. Remote?"

Me: I instantly say "No!" , "I just got home!"

Ian: "You had it last this morning I'm sure."

Me: "It's not my fault you are a man and don't know how to Farking look for anything on your own."

** He looks around **

I pause for a minute and then get irritated....

Me: "It's on the freaking table in front the TV, it's good thing you were looking hard, I hope you didn't break a sweat."

This happens all the time in our house. I think someone seriously screwed up when creating man and their inability to find or search for things. I mean us woman we find everything not because we are freaks of nature and we know everything, we actually look. Maybe if men tried this they could find their own shit. I mean why do I always have to find your crap for you all the time. Now, he just asks me without looking because he knows that I will find it. Which is awesome for me.. not!

What would men do without us? I mean seriously.

Out with the Old in with the New

Finally, after 5 years together we finally got a new couch. I guess I've always thought of other things to spend money on rather then getting a new couch. Like TV, Cars, Ipods, whatever I can get my little hands on. Luckily, Ian's parents gave us some cash flow for a couch for Christmas. Sweet! Guess how much we scored our new sectional for..... $500 bucks! Woot. What a score.

The old UN matching ugliness.

The old unmatching couches.

Ian trying to figure out how to finish it.

Tada! Here is the new addition to the Wright Family

Love, Love it. Love the color.

and... one more view.

I'm so happy to have a new couch and a sectional with a chaise lounge. Now Ian and I have a new argument every night. Who get's to sit on the chaise lounge end. God help us.

Closet Makeover

A couple of weeks ago I decided it was time to clean out the old closet. I spent some quality and undivided attention to that diaster/ has mat zone for a couple of hours. I didn't want to, but I did. I got rid of things. I actually threw some stuff out and into a donate bin. I haven't done that in a while, and I'm glad i finally was able to let go of some of my items.

So here it goes.... Before Photos

and the after photo....

I'm so glad to have gotten this completed. It's not to my complete satisfaction. I want to incorporate more organizing bins and storage, but the first step was clean it out and get rid of some stuff. So, stay tuned for more photos of the closet project.

Also, I cleaned most of my office/craft/guest room. I'm so bummed I totally forgot to take before and after photos, but I will start the project from the first initial clean. So... stay tuned.

P.S. I have another surprise post for your today. Included before and after photos. Yippee!

Mack Monthly Update

I can't believe I'm writing another Mack Monthly update post already. I swear I just did it a few days ago. My oh my how time flies. She is doing really well and taking into reading all the time now. Even if she is interpreting the photos and making up her own stories to herself, the fact that she is engaging in books by herself is awesome. She can now take her own shoes off. Usually when we enter the door at home that is the first thing that she wails at you for. Mommy, "shoes off!" She is now just doing it herself which is a big help. Because I'm a working mom and so is dad, we have limited time in the evenings to go chores, dinner, baths, play time and quiet time. We have to bum rush in the door and do everything as quickly as we can. It has been a little helpful that Mack now goes to bed around 9. So 8-9 is typical play time and Bath squeezed in. She helped me even load the dish washer last night. It was nice, because I got to hang out with her, engage with her and get a chore done. Win, Win! She loves putting the silver ware in their spots and is almost a little OCD about how they go in. On January 29th I got her first hair cut. Check out Mack's First Hair Cut post. She loved it and was a real good sport about it. I'm glad that she enjoyed it and I think will look forward to going again.

Weight: 36 pounds

Height: I'm not really sure. I swear 3 ft tall.

New Words: I'm sorry, ouch, boo boo, hurt me, excuse me, please

Eating Habits: She is getting better and better about eating different things. We try showing her how good it tastes. Some nights she is just not into trying anything and other nights she digs right in.

Favorite Movies: Aladdin, and How to Train your Dragon. (at first she wasn't sure what to think of this movie and now she loves it.)

Activities: She loves to giddy up on her horse on a stick, loves to stick stickers everywhere, playdoh, and just sitting in her room reading books to herself.

Potty Training Status: It's still hit and miss, but we are making progress.

Sleeping: We have pushed her bedtime to 9, because 8 was too early for her, she was waking up at 4am. She has been waking randomly and getting up and playing. I think we fixed that by putting her back in her bed right away.
